Charity Water brief update!

Okay, so the first royalty is in!! And I want to say thank you so much to everyone who purchased a copy of Turbulence!!!

If you enjoyed the story I ask that you help spread the word so we can raise even more money for all those in need.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

P.S.

Some people have been asking if there will a part two of Turbulence. At this time I have to reply, no, there is no sequel in the works. However, as time moves on, who knows? Just as I never expected The Longest Road series to evolve into the trilogy (or more?) that it is, Turbulence could see some more action. But for now, I hope you have enjoyed the story, and thank you again for your charitable donation.

Turbulence is out NOW!!!

Hola, World!

The time has finally come! And just in time for the weekend!

I'm releasing my short story "Turbulence: a love story" which is available now on amazon!

I'm really excited about this release and before I got into more detail, I want to give a special shout out to my niece Dior who did the cover art for it! Kick-fucking ass it is. Really proud of her!

"So Thompson, what's this Turbulence thing all about?"

Well, it's not zombies for starters. It's actually a love story.

"Whaaaaaaat?! Thompson, it isn't enough that you aren't working on zombie sequels or crafty new sci-fi shit, but you wrote a love story? Come on, dude..."

And that's a fair reaction, BUT....

More than that, and something many of you know, this story is something special to me, because my royalties from the sales are going to Charity:Water - a non-profit organization that supplies clean drinking water/wells to those in need around the world.

It would mean so so much to me if you could not only grab yourself a copy - only $0.99 - but help spread the word about the release. The more supporters we get = more water for those who need it!

Family, friends, social media people, whoever you know tell 'em about Turbulence!

Now, for those who don't know much about Turbulence, here's the blurb...

"John and Kristen were destined to be together.

That is, until they weren’t.

Fast forward fifteen years to an international flight departing from Southeast Asia. On board the 747, John and Kristen coincidentally meet again. As they reconnect, their past is relived, revealing key moments and the events leading to their breakup.

Undoubtedly after so much time, lives have changed and so have emotions, right? Or perhaps fate has been waiting patiently to reveal its true intentions.

But fair warning, this is far from a typical love story. After all, at 30,000 feet anything can happen…"

There you have it!

Thanks so much again! Any questions, let me know!

Daily Titan (CSUF) Interview

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting with Daily Titan writer and soon-to-be CSUF grad, Veronica Eshelby.

After finding a spot in the crowded Mihaylo Hall lobby, Veronica and I soon got to talking about life, love, and the pursuit of Turbulence. Well, maybe not love so much, but definitely about life since graduating, the Longest Road Trilogy, and my new project "Turbulence: a love story."

Veronica was a great interviewer, keeping the conversation casual and flowing, and of course, asking all the right questions. I was excited to talk about my collaboration with Charity:Water via sales from my soon-to-be-released short story "Turbulence: a love story," and there is a shit-ton more I could say about it, but I'll let Veronica's article speak for itself.

If you have a minute, check out the article here:

Thanks for stoppin' by,

Short Story

Heyoooooooo,

What's going on world? So quick update slash exciting news...

I'm almost ready to publish a short story! About what you ask?

Well it's not about zombies or the world ending or anything sci-fi if that's what you were expecting...hurry the hell up, Thompson. Spill it.

Okay, you ready? It's a love story.

Shut up, Thompson.

No, really. It is. It's called "Turbulence: a love story" and I'm setting a tentative release date for mid-May.

I'll definitely give more info in the coming weeks but stay tuned. The big thing I do want to discuss is the reason. All the royalties from the story are going to go to Charity:Water, a non-profit who uses 100% of donations to establish and fund clean water projects around the world.

For more information on the organization Charity:Water check out their website at:

Alright, short and sweet as always.

Take care, talk soon.

Apocalypse Ethics Part Deux

As promised, here's part two on my apocalypse ethics conversation (with myself)

The link will take you to Zombie-Guide Magazine and after you're finished reading my nonsense, definitely stick around and check out some more zombie related awesomeness!

HERE'S THE LINK

Anyway, hope you enjoy....

Actually before I go, just a quick little news update about A.S. Thompson....SOMETHING AWESOME is coming your way in the form of a short story. It's probably going to be ready for the world around May so keep checking back here for more updates. I will say it's not zombie-related and it is, in fact, a love story, but hey, zombie authors can write other shit too, right?

I love the story and I'm positive the world will enjoy it too because it's not your average love story :)

That's all for now, but stick around.

Thanks world,
me

Zombies Again

Short and sweet.

So I'm back in zombie land. Well, only for a little. I'm working on a couple other non-zombie projects (don't hate me).

Buuuuuuut I did want to get back to one of my favorite pastimes and that's working with the awesome people like +Frank Diepmaat over at Zombie Guide Magazine.

So, I took a little break from my world and wrote a article, well, the first of a two-parter.

Entitled, Apocalypse Ethics, it covers what we do about our family and friends when it comes to zombie-survival.

I'll post the link below. Hope you enjoy!

Catch you in a bit, world.
